Experts: Sitting too much could be deadly - Yahoo! News: "Here's a new warning from health experts: Sitting is deadly. Scientists are increasingly warning that sitting for prolonged periods — even if you also exercise regularly — could be bad for your health. And it doesn't matter where the sitting takes place — at the office, at school, in the car or before a computer or TV — just the overall number of hours it occurs.

Me, too.
I was under the impression that pretty much everybody -- sitters and standers -- are MORE than likely to die.
You have a point, all right.
Yeah, but how are we supposed to read? Standing up? Walking, jogging, riding, stair-stepping, all that stuff makes the book jiggle too much.
So yeah, I too am screwed. But then, I eat red meat, occasionally drink alcohol, don't eat enough green veggies. So I guess I'm crewed anyway.
Richard Heft has a point. I'm more likely to live longer than anyone who dies before I do. That's comforting.
Shall we be like sharks and move continuously? I say nay!
It didn't say anything about lying down, so I guess us couch potatos are okay.
