The Bank Job (based on real events) is almost the opposite of The Dark Knight. It's a low-key caper movie with very little in the way of explosive devices, a cast that, while not unknown is certainly not well-known (with the possible exception of Jason Statham). But it gets the job done, and it's just as entertaining as the Batman movie (at least to me).MI5 (or 6; like a cop in the movie, I can never keep them straight) wants some incriminating photos of Princess Margaret that are in a bank safe-deposit box. They can't get an order to get to the box, so they arrange to have a gang of small-time crooks rob the bank. One member of the group is to get the photos. Things, as you might expect, don't work out exactly as planned. I'll say more except that this one's worth your time.

I still want to see this one, although reviews touting excessive language and violence have turned my blushing bride away.
Not so violent, really, compared to other recent movies. But language, sex, nudity, yeah.
From a female POV, terrific movie. Not nearly as violent as Dark Knight.
Wasn't that David (Hercule Poirot) Suchet playing the pornographer who had a log of all the payoffs he made to the local police?
