It is a pretty diffuse list that can include so many commonplace items, and an odd one that then complains about some of its own inclusions (such as STORY OF O).

I don't get how they define "cult" despite the explanation given, as I don't see how a lot of those count as "cult" books, including Mockingbird.
Still, there are some good choices there.

There is a fairly wide range of books on there, which you wouldn't expect to see on a list of 'cult' books.
I remember reading THE STRANGER in high school. I wouldn't say I loved it, but it was good.
