Walter Satterthwait Tells Me That This . . .

. . . is the best fight scene of all time!

I don't know about the fight, but that certainly is the best dialogue of all time.

What Chris should've yelled monosyllabically. I was most impressed by how politely they waited for each other to have a turn (albeit this is hardly unique in martial arts travesty films), and had to wonder how much ass she could've kicked without a broken arm. Also, that one guy sure is unlucky around the eyes. Glass eyes, as a boxer might have a glass jaw?

Pretty hokey, but that's the genre. At least it looked like it was actually shot instead of being put together in the editing room from 10,000 cuts like most fight scenes in movies these days. What's it from?

Well, if the author of the Joshua Croft books and Wilde West, all of which I enjoyed, says so.

But boy, it was so obvious whenever they cut to the woman's stunt double for the kung fu action.

I'm not sure what movie it's from but the actress is Cynthia Rothrock, who starred (or may still star) in action films produced in Hong Kong. She's a terrific martial artist so I wonder about the stunt double use for her shots, even though it appears that in this scene they indeed used a double for some shots. Great clip anyway! When the guys tore off their shirts for no apparent reason other than to imitate Bruce Lee, I laughed. Oh, and when the girl showed up I laughed some more. I laughed a lot during this clip.
