One of my best friends from HS spent a semester in Europe (with his family)...spring 1064...they arrived home with a VW bus, which he got to drive during our senior year...slightly, but only slightly, before the VW bus became a hippie symbol. (I will add that he was never a hippie..)

We had good friends who rented one to drive through Europe in 1971.

That's 1964...In 1064 we were following William on horseback and in carts.
