Stark House, Carter Brown, and Al Wheeler
Stark House has entered upon the ambitious project of reprinting all of Carter Brown's Al Wheeler adventures in order of their original publication. There will be a couple of books that were never published in the U. S., so fans will want to grab those for sure. The first volume is a triple decker, and the cover has the titles for you. It will be out in October, and you can order it here.

I dunno. I love Stark House, but Carter Brown without Robert McGinnis is like cake without frosting.

I read probably a half dozen Carter Browns back in the 60s when they seemed to take up at least a fourth of the paperback space at every newsstand, and I was never much impressed. It would be a shame to see these books make up so much of the Stark House publication schedule when there are so many more deserving authors from that era going unrecognized.
A 30 year contract? That seems sort of, well, limiting...
I'll be guying these omnibus editions. Maybe STARK HOUSE can convince Art Scott to edit a volume of Al Wheeler covers by Robert McGinnis as a companion volume. I'd buy that, too!
I'm with George. The thing about these books is that they're short and fun. When you finish one, something makes you want to go right to picking up another. The man sold a massive number of books for a reason--he's entertaining and fun to read. Simple formula, hard to pull off so consistently.
