Robert Hardy, R. I. P.

BBC News: The actor Robert Hardy, star of TV series All Creatures Great and Small, has died aged 91, his family has said. Hardy, they said, had a "tremendous life" and "a giant career in theatre, television and film spanning more than 70 years".

We'Verizon seen him play some nastier characters in recent years, as in the Harry Potter movies, but I'll always think of him as Siegfried Farnon.

Favorite Robert Hardy show:

Hot Metal, a BBC comedy (two series, six episodes each) satirizing the British tabloid press.
Robert Hardy played a dual role:
Terrence "Twiggy" Rathbone, international publishing mogul of dubious ethics.
Russell Spam, managing editor of even more dubious ethics.
(The "resemblance" between these two was a running gag on the series.)
Channel 11, our local PBS station here in Chicago, made a spectacular botch of the presentation; switching time slots, running episodes out of order, and suchlike.
I'm looking for DVDs of this (all-region player at the ready); no luck so far.
