That's a remarkable and remarkably fine list (mostly). I personally wouldn't put Mann so high (Coltrane, on the other hand...), although Memphis Underground is a great album. Sketches of Spain is also fine, but if you're going to dip back into the 1950s for a Miles Davis album, then why not Kind of Blue (which was also released in 1959)? Sandy Bull has never done anything for me (which is about me), but I liked Fairport Convention a lot.
And we all have our personal Top Ten albums from whatever time was or is most important to us. Don't we?

Wow, I'm surprised at how many of Hunter's choices I agree with. Nice list.
I'd agree with 8 of them.
I have all the rock albums but none of the jazz. Wouldn't say they are the ten best but all good albums.
I thought we were going to get a list from Harry S Truman.
