Is he still practicing, or did he finally get it right?

No wonder it costs so much to get through Medical School!

Well worth it.

Back in the magazine store and spin rack days, I used to think Monarch Books really had great cover art. Only ones I ever read were the Lou Largo PI series created by William Ard (and carried on by others after his death). I still have the ones Ard wrote. Again, great covers. Check out "The Sins of Billy Serene." I wish some knowledgeable soul would do an in-depth article about Monarch. Like Manhunt, my sense is that it was a closed market with material supplied solely by the Scott Meredith Agency.

Bill Pronzini wrote the only article about Monarch that I know of, and that was more than 35 years ago. I think more might be known about the company now, so a new article would be a good thing to see.
