Some good ones there. Sadly, this year the entire Republican field seems to want to live up (or is it down?) to Peggy Noonan's comment on Palin.
My favorite is politician on politician : when Harry Truman said Nixon was the only person who could talk out of both sides of his mouth and lie out of both of them.
These admittedly harsh but undoubtedly well-written and often witty barbs make me yearn for the days when insults of all stripes were delivered with impeccable grammar, neat turns of phrase, and undeniable flair. You only have to read some of the ALL-CAP rants at RedState.com* to know those days are behind us.
