I love Household, but I didn't like this one as much as everyone else seems to. My favorite would be either "A Rough Shoot" or "Watcher in the Shadows".

Loved ROGUE MALE when I read it as a kid. I should take Graham's advice and read A ROUGH SHOOT and WATCHER IN THE SHADOWS which have been on my shelves for years!!

DANCE OF THE DWARFS (US title: THE ADVERSARY) from 1968 is excellent too.
