Terrible shame. I only recently got to see the Avengers when they put the episodes on Hulu.

Man.....love that series. Sad news.
And let's never forget his performance as Sir Dennis Eaton-Hogg, Polymer Records President, in "This Is Spinal Tap".
He played the young Jacob Marley opposite George Cole (still alive at 90) as young Scrooge in the 1951 version of A Christmas Carol (aka Scrooge), starring Alastair Sim.
But he'll always be John Steed to me.
RIP
Jeff
One of the good ones. Sigh. It was such a lark to see him turn up as Bond's valet in one of the Roger Moore Bond films. Forget which. RIP!
I want to drop everything and watch an old AVENGERS episode with Patrick McNee and Diana Rigg.
