My hero. Sam, my barber, called me "Hoppy" because I had white-blond hair and often wore my two-gun holster to his shop .I've seen some reruns recently. not exactly Clint Eastwood westerns.
The Hoppy films definitely had their moments. Oddly for westerns (which usually deal with Lone Heroes) they stressed the hero's integration into the community.

He never looked like a cowboy to me. More like a insurance agent or dentist.
Love it!
