And I'm grading 120K words a week on students' papers at the moment, so I stay in proofreading mode.

I don't even think diagramming is taught in schools any more. I remember a college professor who made us diagram lines from Yeats's Sailing to Byzantium. Ah, memories!

We started diagramming sentences in 6th grade, I think, and continued through high school. I miss the old days.
