We saw him perform with The Tokens two years ago. Bummer.
Interesting that two men, both actually named Jay, were lead singers for Jay and the Americans. Interesting too how alike their voices were--I didn't even realize there were two Jays until a few years ago.

The first Jay - he had been singing with The Tokens before that, I think - left after "She Cried."
