New York Daily News: Novelist Elizabeth Jane Howard, best known for “The Cazelet Chronicles,” her series of novels tracing the lives of an English family around World War II, has died at the age of 90, according to multiple reports.

Those were great books--sort of in the Upstairs/Downstairs or Dowton Abbey tradition, which makes sense since I think she wrote some US/DS episodes.
