But, having a Carnegie library is nothing unusual. About 15 years ago they were still checking items out on both the computer and the card system. As I recall the library director at the time did not trust computers.
The best thing there in Abilene the greyhound hall of fame. They have a dog on staff at the entry. You can go in and pet him.
Baraboo, WI is on my list of Saturday destinations but I have not yet been there.

Well, I would have put in Stephenville, TX, if only for the funny lawyer & bail bonds office names and the dairy cow statue: all on the town square!
