I'd add Paris Geller from THE GILMORE GIRLS, played by the terrific Liza Weil. Come to think of it, that series consisted mainly of minor characters who stole the show.
Anders E: I cannot disagree, but I do not concur 8-) I'd say Gilmore Girls, like Friday Night Lights, was a triumph of great ensemble acting by all actors involved!

They forgot the greatest second banana of all time--Don Knotts as Barney Fife on "The Andy Griffith Show."
He was the best, no question.
