Any list of the Top 10 Television Detectives that does not include Jim Rockford is not even worth discussing ....

I knew that was coming!

Not even close. The BBC's Sherlock Holmes with Jeremy Brett, Bruno Cremer as the French detective Jules Maigret, David Suchet as Agatha Christi's Hecule Piorot and RAI Italy's Montalbono series blow all these Top 10 away!

I'm surprised this jamoke didn't list The Amazing Chan and the Chan Clan.

Harry O. Rockford, as mentioned above. The Outsider. The cops from Naked City, San Francisco Beat, and M Squad.

Rockford, Holmes, Poirot, Maigret, Jim Hutton's Ellery Queen.....

Even if the writer wanted to limit it to TV originals, there still was Rockford.

And Hunter shouldn't even have been on that list!

Also, There's a guy out there who'll probably sue this writer now that he claimed that Columbo's first name was Philip. It's a claim he made up to see if anybody would later rip him off. If I remember correctly, he sued the Trivial Pursuit people over it.

And based on a frame grab of his police ID, I think his name is Frank anyway......
