I'm not sure why some of these are classified as "insane."
I've actually crossed one of these many years ago, the Capilano Suspension Bridge in Vancouver. It was perfectly safe and well maintained, and why not since it was and remains a major tourist attraction in Vancouver. My only problem was that having reached the other side there didn't seem to be much to do on the other side except to cross back again.

Btw Bill, the article says 23 insane bridges.
That's odd, since I just cut and pasted the link. Maybe a couple of them have fallen into gorges since I did it.
