Mr. Nelson has written some very bad (BATMAN) and very good (PURPLE RAIN) soundtrack music...Ms. Germanotta hasn't done either previously, I think. So, mostly what's wrong with the project and the sentence remains Baz Luhrmann's 'The Great Gatsby'...
After sitting through Luhrmann's "Romeo + Juliet" and then (I must be a glutton for punishment) his "Moulin Rouge," it doesn't need Lady GaGa's inclusion to let me know I'm not going to be watching Luhrmann's "Great Gatsby."
