There was a similar story about a decade ago. A couple was renovating an old house they had purchased; they discovered hundreds of movie posters behind the walls. Turned out someone who lived in the house in the 1920s had worked at the local movie theater and each week brought home the previous week's posters to use as insulation. Staying inside the walls for decades helped keep the posters in pristine condition.
Sadly, much of the collection had to be sold off when one of the homeowners got sick and needed help to pay his medical bills.
