World Book Day: the world's most valuable books - Telegraph: To mark World Book Day on March 1, we look at some of the world's most valuable titles. In a list of the most expensive books sold at auction, The Economist put John James Audubon's The Birds of America (1827-1838) at number one. It sold for $10.3m in 2010.
