Sullivan Walker, R. I. P.

NY Daily News: Walker, who came to New York in the late 1960s to pursue his career, is remembered for several high-profile roles. According his daughter Keela, Walker won third place in a talent contest held in Port of Spain and the prize was a trip to New York City.

His career here began with a role in “A Season in the Congo” at Harlem School of The Arts. After that, he never looked back moving optimistically forward — and taking up-and-coming actors with him along the way.

On television’s “The Cosby Show,” he played Dr. James Harmon, a friend of Bill Cosby’s Cliff Huxtable character.
