The title may be an intentional evocation of another publication, but I suspect this may be generational accident. Bill I'm sure recalls the ads in comic books with the smiling newsboy urging kids to sell Grit - The Family Newspaper.
No accident, Art. I was well aware of Grit. Different era, different context... I think (hope) people are savvy enough to tell the difference. Thanks, Bill, for spreading the word.

One of my first publications was a poem in Grit.
I always wanted to sell Grit, but my parents wouldn't let me. I really thought I could be surrounded with piles of prizes.
