ABC News: A New York man came up with an unusual plan to hurt his ex-girlfriend: kill a bear, skin it, and then dress up in the carcass and attack her.
A few years ago a guy in Colorado got his wife a fur coat and hat and convinced her to sit on a log while bear hunters were active in the area. She came to no harm and I believe he was prosecuted for reckless endangerment or something similar. I tried googling it but I can't figure out what to search for

Wow. This is now one of my favorite ideas-that-should-never-have-been-thought-up.

He should have stuck with the original plan. Last minute changes-of-plan rarely work out. Too hasty.
Also: I would have really enjoyed reading about his experience fighting a bear. I'd place my bets on the bear winning.
