Well, yes, but... Life is stranger than fiction or even casting. I've seen / known (not in the Biblical sense) several Denise-like physicists and more than a few Tor-like top-flight medical research scientists.
Some good choices there - Shia LaBoeuf, Mickey Rooney, Stallone, and especially Melanie Griffith. I remember a piece in Premiere magazine re-naming the film DEBBIE AND THE REBBE.
