A Netflix For Books?

Will Amazon Create A Netflix For Books?: Amazon is planning a Netflix-like subscription service for e-books, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal today (available to subscribers only).

There are some people who won't quite get out of the habit of getting books and paperbacks for one's own personal shelves. Though electronic items and e-books are starting to catch on more.

Also, I wonder how the books would be rental, maybe there would be a timestamp like the online rentals where a file will destruct after 3 to 5 days or have some other security code...

The publishing industry is in the same place as the record industry and the newspapers were 10 years ago. Disaster looms!
