I Got 'em All

That's not to say the stores are using them correctly, however.

I missed Walgreens.
(Kind of in my defense, Walgreens has only been in Southern California for about a dozen years...)

I missed Walgreens as well. Of course they aren't in Canada, but I see enough US TV stations that I should have remembered that.

In Canada McDonald's is both. In English Canada it has an apostrophe to indicate the possessive, but in Quebec the Official Languages Act says all commercial signs have to be in French, and the possessive in French isn't indicated by an apostrophe 's', so they dook out the apostrophe and presumably the name refers to the McDonald brothers who founded the first location.

Okay, I've been doing a little checking, and in Montreal at least that's no longer the case. They have an apostrophe 's' there as well. Pity - that used to be a tiny bit of the charm of the place.
