Banned where exactly? I don't think it's a big surprise if The Joy of Gay Sex isn't shelved at the public high school. Hmm and the original Joy of Sex wasn't on the list. So it MIGHT be shelved at the public high schools.

Banned is a bit of a misnomer. "Challenged" or "threatened" would be better words.

I've been on committees to evaluate library books, videos, etc. and some of the complaints are just odd.
