My favorite expression in this vein is the Yiddish word "naches," the warm feeling parents gets in their heart from the accomplishments of their children.

2. Yuputka (Ulwa)
A word made for walking in the woods at night, it’s the phantom sensation of something crawling on your skin.

Actually it's "the woolies" and I've heard it used by backpackers from Colorado and Washington.
