You had to know your title was like waving a red cape in front of a bull, but you're right. I might like some more than others, but can't truthfully say that any of those listed shouldn't be there.
I can and will say that. Even in the 5-6 cases where they got the right artists they got the wrong song. "The Twist"? "We Are the World"? Come on.
I certainly won't complain - it's a white blank page. So I assume all my favorites are there.
While intent might have been great, We Are The World sucks as a song.
They seem to have disappeared it.
I question their definition of "pop." Where are the Carpenters, Captain & Tennille, and Bread?
Shuddering, Deb. Perhaps more for Karen Carpenter's fate than her talent...but Bread...So, Bill, what do you make of such a list of the works of such "artistes"?
Let's just say it's not the list I'd have made. But then I'm not crazy enough to make one and let anybody see it.
