This is a nice list, except that it's missing, not just a great book about Hollywood, but one of the most entertaining books I've ever read, period:INDECENT EXPOSURE by David McClintick, which chronicled the David Begelman embezzlement scandal at Columbia in the mid-seventies.A real thrill-ride of a book.
I'm tracking down INDECENT EXPOSURE.
I'd also add Roger Ebert's THE GREAT MOVIES, Volumes 1-3.
