Emmerich confirms 3D motion capture for Asimov's Foundation trilogy - SFFMedia: "MTV reports that Roland Emmerich, director of the upcoming adaptation of Isaac Asimov's epic Foundation trilogy, will film the three movies in 3-D, using technology similar to the CG motion-capture techniques James Cameron used in Avatar.
When asked if Asimov's Foundation trilogy would be in 3-D and in motion capture, Emmerich replied, 'Yes.'"

This whole project has me worried. I suppose it's possible this could turn out to be an excellent set of films, but I'll need to know a lot more good things about it before I believe that.
I'm thinking, "Never happen."
I'm with you, Bill! There's very little action in the FOUNDATION TRILOGY. They are filled with dialogue and philosophical conversations. I don't think 3-D will make that any better.
I don't expect anything worthwhile from Emmerich. His track record is terribl;e. And like George says the Foundation books are not action orientated. I suppose they can add in some giant fighting robots.
