Once Again, Texas Leads the Way

Deputies look for clues in theft of sheriff's SUV wheels | Houston & Texas News | - Houston Chronicle: "Harris County Sheriff Adrian Garcia awoke Friday morning to find himself the victim of criminals in his own driveway.

Overnight, as he slept, thieves had stolen the driver's side wheels from his county vehicle, an unmarked black 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe, while it was parked at his home in the Lindale neighborhood in north Houston. The incident is being investigated as a theft of county equipment, with losses estimated at $1,600."

So the county puts $400 wheels on it's vehicles??? Pretty rich county, if you ask me!
