Up on Sulfur Mountain

That's one of the most beautiful photos of beautiful Judy I've ever seen. The mountains aren't bad, either. But who's the sinister dude in the shades?

I remember the gondola ride up Sulphur Mountain from when I was a kid. Great view of the townsite and if I recall correctly a nice cafeteria. You could also walk up the mountain, but when you're a little kid (like I was the last time I was in Banff) that really doesn't appeal.

I kind of look like a secret agent in those shades, right?

Walking up the mountain didn't appeal to me, either, Brent. I did, however, walk up to the Cosmic Ray Station. Judy and the people we were with chose not to go with me.

Judy does look great, as always. What are y'all doing so far from home?

Vacation time!

SULFUR MOUNTAIN -- shoulda been the title of a Joel McCrea or Randolph Scott western.

Cosmic Ray Station sounds intriguing -- is that where ants get zapped into giAnts?

Can't say that snow looks too good to me about now. The pile in our backyard only melted a week or two ago.

You do have a bit of a "Indiana Jones" look about you in that photo. Judy looks like your bodacious co-star. You should get this photo blown up to poster size. Or have it on the back of your next book!

That is an absolutely fantastic photo of the two of you.

Ah, that's a million dollar shot. And I'm glad your vacation went well.

I agree with George - that shot should be on the cover of a book.

It is a nice picture. I'd like to go to Banff, but I can't pronounce it.

Cap'n Bob's comment reminds me of a funny line in a show we saw last weekend - Everyday Rapture with Sherie Rene Scott, who is terrific.

She tells of first coming to New York in 1983 and going to get half-price theater tickets at the TKTS booth in Times Square, only she pronounces it as if it's a word - "ticke-tis."

Maybe you had to be there.

I thought that might be Chester Drum that Judy is with in the photo.

You both look wonderful. Are you sure it's not Alaska? Looks very cold. I was there one September, and it snowed.

It was cold, all right. Below freezing most nights we were there.
