I don't know. Robert Downey doesn't seem like a good fit, physically, for Sherlock Holmes. The camaraderie between him and Watson and the action scenes look more like that remake of Wild Wild West than Genteel Britain.
I've already given my thoughts on this POS on my blog. It might be interesting, but it's not Sherlock Holmes.
I'm reminded of The Case of the Baker Street Irregulars by Boucher, where Hollywood hired a writer with no knowledge of Holmes to write a screenplay. Life imitating art, here?I think I'll save my money and watch Jeremy Brett..
It would be hard for anyone to replace Brett but if it can be done than Downey would be the actor.
My admiration of Downey's acting ability is high. But no, he didn't pull this off. I repeat, this is not Sherlock Holmes!
Kung fu, Things get blowed up. Any hooters? Gotta check it out.
No mentions of Sherlock Holmes in America, Bill?
Hey, Ritchie might have read my story for all his ideas.
