I don't know. Robert Downey doesn't seem like a good fit, physically, for Sherlock Holmes.

The camaraderie between him and Watson and the action scenes look more like that remake of Wild Wild West than Genteel Britain.

I'm reminded of The Case of the Baker Street Irregulars by Boucher, where Hollywood hired a writer with no knowledge of Holmes to write a screenplay. Life imitating art, here?

I think I'll save my money and watch Jeremy Brett..

It would be hard for anyone to replace Brett but if it can be done than Downey would be the actor.

My admiration of Downey's acting ability is high. But no, he didn't pull this off. I repeat, this is not Sherlock Holmes!
