Meanwhile in Southern California it's 96 degrees (at 2:50 p.m.), just over half way through April. Gonna be hotter tomorrow. Plants are crisp. Water rationing begins soon. Electric brownouts from spiking A/C use expected tomorrow and Wednesday.
Still, I wouldn't trade our weather for your summer there, Bill!

Yikes!
Indeed.
It finally stopped raining in my area of the state that Perry wants to turn into a nation so it may stop in your area someday.
It stops, but then it starts again. My area has the seaports, so we'll be powerful.
Send it our way, Bill! (Meanwhile, good luck!)
Looks like you're gonna need a much bigger boat.

Luckily, I bought good luggage.
We got some yesterday, and there's more on the way.
I keep looking for the gator to emerge.
I see the Gator..off to the right. Let the sun start shining on you...
The water's about drained away now. No gators in sight.
If you Texans think you've seen water, check out what the Red River of the North is doing these days in North Dakota and Manitoba.
Yeah, I've been reading about that. Very nasty.
