Still the best Cold War-metaphor western film I'm familiar with. (Burl Ives's character as Kruschev, etc.)

Based on a novel by the great Donald Hamilton.

The theme music from that movie will be the only thing left of the American frontier spirit for audiences a hundred years from now, listening to it on hand crank victrolas and vinyl, chickens running around in the dust, the family members bowing to the East five times a day. Not that that will be a bad thing: getting to hear that music I mean.

First soundtrack LP I ever bought, back in the long ago.
