Folk music legend dies at 74 - SantaFeNewMexican.com: "Erik Darling, a folk musician who performed with The Tarriers, The Weavers and The Rooftop Singers, died Saturday of Burkitt's lymphoma in a hospice center near Chapel Hill, N.C. He was 74."
I've put tunes from a couple of Darling's groups on the jukebox to the right.

Wasn't Alan Arkin with the Tarriers at one time?
Yes. And he also published some short stories in a couple of the SF digest mags during that era.
Two in GALAXY in the latter '50s: "Whiskaboom" and "People Soup." And then on to Second City.
