Did Ian Fleming Create the CIA?
He dreamt up Bond, but did Fleming also create the CIA? - Times Online: "Ian Fleming, the creator of James Bond, liked to claim – only half in jest – that he had helped to create the CIA."

Interesting article. I read somewhere else Fleming had proposed to JFK the possibility of booby trapping Castro's cigars with poison. He sure had a great imagination.
