Irony or sobering social commentary? When I went to the list about half an hour ago, it was preceded by an ad for a "comedy" with Tina Fey about a career woman hiring a surrogate mother for her baby.
What about Leo Gordon? He died 100 times and still returned to make more movies. All in all, not a bad list. I think the rankings aren't in the right order, but the right people are on it. I'm surprised, too, that the top ten didn't include Bruce Willis, Vin Diesel, Ahhhnold, and The Rock.

So that's what it's come to. Sad, isn't it.
They just don't make them like they used to.
Good list ... but I'm not sure Yul Brynner ranks ahead of John Wayne.

And I'm not sure I trust a pilgrim who's not a fan of the "Duke".

Number 1 is spot on, although I'd place Lancaster further up the list. Charlie Bronson is much tougher.
I think Charles McGraw (not on the list) is tougher than James Coburn, but I'm eccentric.
I was expecting to see Gary Cooper here. And is Brando seen as more crazy than tough?
