They Don't Make Trailers Like This Anymore

Great trailer and great Roger Corman movie, which also boasts a great poster that I fondly remember from my kid days -- not to mention Abby Dalton, Susan Cabot, and June Kenney as the main Viking Women. Are the back projection FX any worse than the shoestring CGI that shows up on most direct-to-video and Sci-Fi Channel movies today? Not in my book. I just looked on IMDB and realized that "Viking Women" was made in 1957; man, does that make me feel O-L-D.

You think it makes you feel old? I saw this one in a drive-in theater during its original run. I say I "saw" it, but I was dating a girl who shall remain nameless, and we might not have seen every frame.

Hell, you guys are old! Get over it. :-P

Supposedly Big Jim Folsom, Alabama politician and former governor, who, during one of his campaigns, was confronted with published photos of himself and women other than his wife in "compromising" positions responded "It's a clear and simple case of entrapment. My political enemies filled a hotel room with whiskey and women. Bait a trap like that and you'll catch ol' Big Jim every time."

Put half naked women in an old movie, be they Viking, Amazon, jungle, space/cat women on the moon, cave (esp. Victoria Vetri or Raquel Welch), etc. You'll catch Doc every time.

Yes, but I was somewhat better attired. Not much, but somewhat.

I don't recall that the choreography was so snappy. And I sure as heck don't recall the bikinied presence of Victoria Vetri, aka Angela Dorian, aka Miss September 1967. Otherwise, um, yeah, could be.

They say that memory is the second thing to go, Fred.
