You can't beat Little Richard. Just hearing Pat Boone trying to get his mouth around "Tutti Frutti" can make your head hurt.
I guess when you have lyrics like "shoobee, doobee, doo" Sam the Sham and the Pharoahs do sound a little imbecilic.
