Clearly the writer for the National Review uses a similar definition of a conservative rock song as the one that had Reagan rocking out to "Born In The USA" until Springsteen told him it wasn't about what he thought it was about.
Didn't Bob Dole use "Born in the USA" on his campaign stops until Springsteen asked him to stop?
I've always been kind of surprised Rush Limbaugh uses that Pretenders song on his show. You'd think he'd hate giving money to an animal rights advocate like Crissy Hynde.

A lot of people were fooled by that title.
