One of only a few actresses who John Ford really liked. He treated her like one of the boys which for him was a high accolade indeed. And of course she was John Wayne's best co-star; Olivia de Havilland to his Errol Flynn if you will. If they were together in a film it was bound to be good even if she was only in it for a few minutes (as in Big Jake).

I'm stilled ticked off she didn't get an Academy Award for her Mary Kate Danaher role.
I just loved her in Big Jake (my fav. J. Wayne movie) and McLintock!

I believe that was "Against All Flags" with O'Hara playing the unforgettable Spitfire Stevens.
