I think this was the first SF anthology I read as a kid. Loved it! Then I moved on to Groff Conklin.

This anthology had a big influence on me as a kid also. I believe I got mine from the Science Fiction Book Club. A massive collection in hardcover and full of excellent SF.

I got mine from the SF Book Club, too, sometime in the middle '50s. Still have it.

I also got mine from the SF Book Club... somewhat later (they reprinted it in the 90s).

You know, after reading the article I must be wrong. It must have been a different 600-page SF anthology. I still have it somewhere - I'll see if I can dig it out.
