Heard of ten; read four. I think my husband has that Beatles book somewhere amid his mass of Beatlesania. Meanwhile, I was surprised that Jean Rhys made the list for two different books neither one THE WIDE SARGASSO SEA.
Has anyone read Stoner besides me? It has a great reputation and frequently shows up on lists like this but it left me cold. I sometimes wonder if, as a college professor myself, I am simply too close to the material to appreciate this novel about a frustrated academic.

Heard of? Yes, some of them. Read? RANDOM ACTS OF SENSELESS VIOLENCE, LITTLE BIG MAN, and the two Jean Rhys books.
I was surprised to see LITTLE BIG MAN on the list, but I guess fame is fleeting.
I miss the old days.

I've heard of 13 of them and read 4. Little Big Man was a surprise, especially given how successful the movie was.

I haven't read STONER, although I always felt I should. Maybe I will, one of these days.
