Patty Duke was #1 in Milwaukee? Yikes. That song sucks. She wisely stuck to acting because as a singer, not so good.

Here is your NY top 10 of 8/11/65:

1 1 I GOT YOU BABE - Sonny & Cher
2 4 IT’S THE SAME OLD SONG - The Four Tops
3 5 HELP! - The Beatles
4 2 (I Can’t Get No) SATISFACTION - The Rolling Stones
5 6 I’M A HAPPY MAN - The Jive Five
6 7 NOTHING BUT HEARTACHES - The Supremes
7 3 WHAT’S NEW PUSSYCAT? - Tom Jones
8 10 IN THE MIDNIGHT HOUR - Wilson Pickett
9 12 CALIFORNIA GIRLS - The Beach Boys
10 19 LIKE A ROLLING STONE - Bob Dylan

I have to admit that I like the Patty Duke song. I like all the ones on the NY list this week, too.

Shall have to hear the Jive Five. Notable in BrewTown that Either the Byrds or Cher could be cited for the Dylan song.
